LARWILL – The 156th annual Squawbuck Days is scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday, August 27, 28 and 29. The three day celebration is sponsored by the Larwill firemen, Lions Club and the Richland Township Community Association.
Everything is at the fire station, unless noted. The events begin Friday, August 27 at 4 p.m. with a tenderloin fry at the fire department. At 7 p.m. the ever-popular Bingo game is presented by the Larwill Lions Club.
Saturday starts at 7 a.m. with the Walk Through The Larwill Community Past with Bill Leffel, in the community room. From 7 a.m. to noon, crafts the flea market and garage sales are scheduled. From 9 a.m. to noon is the car show registration.
At 10 a.m. is the kiddie tractor pull and games. At 11 a.m., you can have your choice of a ham and bean dinner, sponsored by the Larwill Lions Club, or you can have dinner from the kitchen which is sponsored by the Larwill Wesleyan Church. From 1 to 3 p.m., there are games sponsored by the Lions. At 2 p.m., there is a cornhole tournament.
The car show awards are announced at 2:30 p.m. Also at 2:30 p.m., there is a miniature horse pull.
The busy day ends with a family night square dance and karaoke from 6 to 9 p.m.
Sunday events start at 10 a.m. with church services at the Larwill Wesleyan Church. The weekend festivities end at 11:30 a.m. with a carry-in lunch.
Table service and drinks are provided.
Electricity is furnished; no tents are provided.
