Construction At Peabody Effects Entrance For 8 Weeks

NORTH MANCHESTER – Beginning Tuesday, September 7th for approximately eight weeks, Peabody Retirement Community’s main entrance off Seventh Street will be closed.  In addition, parking in the front part of the campus will be restricted.

This action is necessitated by the renovation of Peabody’s historic Singing Tower, underwritten by a generous donation by the late Betty Krom. She was a Peabody South House resident, who resided on the campus for over 25 years. The 74 year old tower, which is also a carillon, was last renovated in 1994.

Stephanie Judy, Director of Building and Grounds added, “The 9th Street entrance of the campus will be the temporary main entrance until the renovation is complete”.
