Take spin in a new car from Trier’s and raise $20 per participant on Sept. 18
Test drive a new car for five minutes and Trier Ford Lincoln Mercury will plop down $20 for Whitko High School.
The "Drive One 4 UR School" event on Saturday, September 18 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. could bring in as much as $6,000 for the school by driving a Ford, Lincoln or Mercury vehicle.
There will be a 2011 F250 4x4, a Ford F150 Supercrew, a Ford Fusion, Ford Edge, Ford Focus, Lincoln MKZ or Lincoln MKS, although vehicle models may change, depending upon availability, according to Grant Trier of the Columbia City-based dealership.
To reach the $6,000 mark, just 300 test drivers need to appear in the Whitko High School parking lot the day of the event and take their turn behind the wheel of a new vehicle.
A Trier representative will be in the vehicle during the 5-minute test drive.
The school will use the funds to fund Students at the Round Table and the athletic boosters.
Only one driver per household is allowed and they must be 18 years old or older and have a valid driver’s license in order to particpate.
