School Board Holds Referendum Meeting

The Whitko School Board of Trustees plans a special meeting Thursday, September 2 at 6 p.m. to answer questions and hear concerns of citizens regarding the tax levy referendum.
The referendum will be an item on the November 2 ballot. Essentially voting yes means up to 20-cents per $100 assessed valuation would be added to Whitko-area property owners.
The funds would go into the school district's general fund and be used to pay employee salaries and benefits.
The meeting is at the Pierceton Administration Office, on the west side of the Pierceton Elementary School, on SR 13.
